Austin is the capital of the U.S. state of Texas. It is situated at Central Texas on the eastern edge of the American Southwest and is the fourth-largest city in Texas. Austin is the 14th most populous city in the United States. Austin's population consists of 790,390 people. This city is the cultural and economic hub of the Austin Round Rock San Marcos urban area.
The Austin city was named after Stephen F. Austin, who is known as the father of Texas. The city progressed in the 19th century and became a heart for education after the University of Texas was built. It is home to many Fortune 500 corporations and companies like Freescale Semiconductor, Forestar Group, Dell, Apple, IBM, Google ,ShoreTel, with their major regional offices and headquarters.

The Austin music scene got a boost when three brothers and two friends started the local band called The Wheeler Brothers and they have now made their way into the Austin music scene-taking it by storm
Austin music festivals are quickly rising to the top of the list, with its astounding options in venues, passionate fans and two of the top musical fests in the country.
Austin City Limits Music Festival began in 2002, bringing Austin music fests into the limelight. Past headliners include Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, Wilco, and The Allman Brothers. This year the various Austin music festivals will see entertainers like Stevie Wonder, Coldplay, Alison Krauss, Foster The People, Empire Of The Sun etc. The festival will start in September mid, giving the Austin Music scene a much needed visibility.

A new band has been formed in Austin by three brothers and two friends. The Wheeler Brothers is the band which has taken the Austin music scene in awe. All of the members went for school to Louisiana but have made their way back into Austin.
The band describes their genre as a mix of the indie culture of Austin and the Texan twang. They basically play an independent folk rock which mixes with their own cultures. The band consists of the three brothers, Nolan, Tyler and Patrick Wheeler. Danny Matthews joined the Austin band when they were in LSU and A.J. Molyneaux was the last addition to the band after they came to Austin.
The band prides itself in mixing the styles with indie rock, blues and folk finding a way among their ideas. They have already impressed the people with their laidback live performances. The Wheeler Brother's will be going on a tour soon and their first LP is rumoured to come prior to this tour.
