Some say Arcade Fire, the seven member rock music band, is just about keeping rock music alive… some say it, many agree.
The rock music band is going to be giving a raw rock music treat to Edinburg come the 1st of September. On interviewing their frontman, Win, some secrets as to their thoughts about 'rock music' and its limits came pouring out. Like, he says, "A lot of people get really stuck in this idea that everything's been done, and there's nowhere left to go. Rock music is almost the most conservative form of performance art… I always felt like there's so many sounds to make…."
Yes, it is good to hear rock music still has its guardians in them and all roads lead to Edinburg if you are a rock music fan, even the rock isn't mandatory. Happy rocking.

Echotone is a new documentary on live music in Austin, Texas. The film is produced by Reversal Films, which eventually hopes to turn the documentary into a miniseries. This is the fourth film project for the startup Austin-based production company, whose earlier projects included "Skateland", which premiered at Sundance Film Festival.

The film was inspired by an influential article form Louis Black, which cautioned that development could harm the local music community which is widely considered to be one of the city's great assets. Over a few years time the filmmakers captured the lives of musicians including Belair, The Octopus Project, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, Sunset and others. The film also takes a look at a city in transition as it features interviews with condo developers, venue owners and advocates for the music community.
